Dylan Goff’s Six Scoreless Innings Leads Etiwanda to a 10-0 Victory Over Pacifica in Friday’s Quarterfinal Round of CIF D-2 Playoffs

Whatever roadmap Etiwanda coach Don Furnald and his staff put together for the 2022 postseason, their players are carrying it out to a tee.

After Friday’s 10-0 victory over visiting Pacifica in the quarterfinal round of the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs, the Eagles have defeated Temecula Valley, Warren and Pacifica by a combined margin of 30-3.

Dylan Goff went six scoreless innings and allowed just two hits, three walks and struck out four Mariners batters.

In the 2022 playoffs, Goff has provided 12 stellar innings and hasn’t surrendered a single earned run.

Yahir Ramirez got the final three outs, including one via strikeout.

Roman Cruz doubled and Justin Aguinaga and Junior Zendejas singled to account for the Pacifica offense.

Chad Gurnea got the loss after allowing six runs (one earned) on six hits in his 3 2/3 innings pitched.

Gurnea walked two and struck out seven.

EHS also got two runs apiece off Aidan Colin and Chad Brown on a combined three hits and five walks over 1 2/3 innings.

Mike Harrison walked, singled, doubled, scored and had two RBIs.

Austen Roellig walked, singled, drove in a run and scored twice.

Michai Harrison had and RBI single and Tyler Shigenaka walked, singled and scored.

Brady Ebel singled and had two RBIs.

Freddie Capacete went 2-for-4, with an RBI.

Parker Sobiesiak singled and drove in a pair of runs.

Eric Valles and Abraham Zapata walked and scored one run apiece.

Up next: Etiwanda will travel to Palos Verdes in Tuesday’s semifinal round contest.

The Sea Kings (21-10) defeated Long Beach Millikan, 4-2, on Friday.
