Boys Athlete of the Week:
San Dimas got off to a 2-0 start in Valle Vista League play this past week.
The Saints defeated Charter Oak, 2-0, on Wednesday.
And 48 hours later, SDHS picked up a 12-2, mercy-rule victory in six innings.
San Dimas had plenty of contributors, but it was Matt Romero that set the tone.
On Wednesday, Romero threw a two-hit shutout at COHS.
He didn’t issue a walk and struck out four.
Romero needed just 69 pitches to finish what he started.
The Saints senior lefty is now 4-0, with a 1.56 ERA.
Up next: San Dimas (7-1, 2-0) travels to Northview on Wednesday afternoon.
