With four games left on their regular season schedule, Covina took over first place in the Valle Vista League standings.
The Colts edged visiting San Dimas, 46-42, to take a one-half game lead over the Saints.
Miranda Morales clutched up big time.
Morales scored nine of her game-high 22 points in the decisive fourth quarter.
The Colts closed the game on a 17-10 run.
Leilani Argueta chipped in 15 points for Covina.
Olivia Romero paced the SDHS offense with 14 points.
Allison McGill and Janessa Rodriguez contributed eight points apiece for the Saints.
