Boys Basketball:
San Dimas opened Valle Vista League play with a 65-57 victory over visiting Covina.
The Saints and Colts were tied at the half (31-31), but SDHS used a 16-9 surge in the third quarter to get a little breathing room.
Zaye Salgado had a game-high 20 points for San Dimas, and both DJ Williams and Nathan Kester chipped in with nine points apiece.
William Bissman led Covina with 17 points, including five 3-pointers.
Kerry Smith scored 15 points and Alain Salmeron contributed 11 points in the loss for the Colts
Up next: Both the Colts and Saints will be back in action on Friday night.
SDHS travels to Charter Oak, and Covina heads over to Diamond Ranch.
