Quotable:
Marshall coach, Fred Nash: “Today’s match was a rematch from the preseason, and we were missing players back then, so today’s playoff match up felt much different. We started off the first set going back and forth with defensive rallies and great blocking from both sides. We knew if we played our game with pace and consistency with our serve we would be ok an that was the case today. The biggest game changer was our relentless defense from our big defensive specialist’s Harlen Castro, Eunice Manik, and Shanelle Mangubat, and our freshmen outside, Aida Movsisyan, who chased down balls to keep us ahead. Aida Movsisyan and Harlen Castro were the match MVP’s.”
