One of the big reasons Northview has had so much success over the years is their ability to get a guy or two that can put the Vikings on their back and run the ball down an opponent’s throat.
If Friday night is any indication, that workhorse looks to be Aaron Guillen.
NHS scored 21 four-quarter points to claim a 21-7 victory at Thousand Oaks.
And they took 7-0 and 14-0 leads in that fourth quarter thanks to TD runs of 1 and 3 yards from Guillen.
He finished the contest with 127 rushing yards on 19 carries.
Noah Esparza did his part, as he gained 74 yards on six carries, including a 39-yard TD to put the nail in the TOHS coffin.
Up next: Northview will get a big test next Friday at 7.
They travel to La Habra and battle a Highlanders squad that is ranked 73rd in the state by MaxPreps.
NHS enters the contest at No. 160.
La Habra cruised to a 55-13 victory at Upland in their season opener.
