Volleyball:
It was a solid Thursday for the Etiwanda volleyball team.
The Eagles snapped a two-match losing streak.
And one of its athletes made program history.
EHS defeated Temecula Valley in four games.
They won by scores of 25-21, 16-25, 25-9 and 25-18.
Lauren Furnald, a Westmont commit had a night to remember.
The Etiwanda senior had 21 kills, 10 digs and three aces.
Her 21 kills was a career high.
But most importantly, Furnald became the first athlete in EHS volleyball history to reach 1,000 kills.
Kamryn Andrews finished with 17 assists and five digs.
Kylie Richardson chipped in with 10 digs and four aces.
Olivia Zajicek had 11 digs and three aces in the win.
London Williams provided 13 assists.
Kaila Nassar chipped in with five blocks and three kills.
Up next: The Eagles will host Claremont on Tuesday at 4:45.
