Volleyball:
Bonita won its fifth consecutive match to open the 2026 season.
And in the past three, the Bearcats have won nine of the 10 sets.
On Thursday, BHS secured a four-game victory at St. Lucy’s.
They won by scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-11 and 25-17.
Junior Elle Howie led the way with 17 kills.
Senior Kyra Amaya chipped in with five kills.
Junior setters Aubrie Gonzalez (17 assists & two aces) and Cassidy Howard (17 assists & one ace) combined for 34 assists and three aces.
Up next: The Bearcats travel to San Dimas on Tuesday at 6 to play for the ACE Trophy.
