Volleyball:
The Fred Nash era at Marshall got off to a slow start.
The Eagles got swept by Jurupa Valley and Eisenhower on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
However, wherever he’s been, Nash’s programs always fight through adversity.
And on Thursday, Marshall got win No. 1 of the 2026 season.
They swept their visitors from Keppel.
The Eagles cruised to victory by scores of 25-6, 25-18 and 25-12.
Freshman Aida Movsisyan had 10 kills.
Senior Livsey Teems had 10 kills of her own.
Ashley Dominguez, another senior chipped in with 19 assists and seven aces.
Senior Harlom Castro provided 10 digs in the win.
Up next: The Eagles will compete in the Montclair Classic on Saturday.
