Baseball:
Calvary Chapel Santa Ana was four outs away from a 2-0 victory over their visitors from Muir in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 6 playoffs.
However, the Mustangs scored twice in the sixth and seventh innings, and they held on for a 4-2 victory.
Luca Cano went three innings and he allowed a pair of runs on four hits.
Cano walked one and fanned one CCSA batter.
Ezekiel Rodriguez earned the win after providing four scoreless innings in relief and scattering five hits.
Rodriguez issued one walk and registered one strikeout.
Joshua Anderson had an RBI single in the two-run third inning.
Justin Buscho and Keith Jones both went 2-for-4.
Jack Haney doubled.
Ethan Bias walked and scored.
Hudson Hall singled and scored.
Kaden Cox and Ben Steele had one single apiece.
Trevor Boisvert went five scoreless innings for the Eagles, allowing three hits, hitting two, walking a pair and striking out nine Muir batters.
Kahlil Campos provided one inning in relief, and he was charged with a pair of unearned runs on one, a walk and a hit batter.
The Mustangs got to Ean Haney for two runs on two hits and two walks over the seventh inning.
Bryant Soriano went 2-for-4, and his two-run two-out double in the top of the sixth inning tied the game at 2-2.
Sergio Rodriguez singled, doubled and scored.
Kahlil Rishwain walked and singled.
George Perez singled in a run in the seventh and scored once on Tuesday.
Brandon Figueroa drew a pair of walks and drove in a run on a sac fly in the seventh.
Colton Franklin reached base on an error and scored.
Joel Rodriguez pinch ran and scored.
Up next: The Mustangs will face off with Lakewood on Friday at 3:15.
The Lancers (13-17) defeated Crossroad, 6-2, on Tuesday.
