Etiwanda Completes 3-Game Baseline League Sweep of Upland, 10-2, & Eagles Out-Hit Highlanders, 30-16, This Week

Baseball:

Etiwanda finished out the 2026 regular season in dominating form.

The Eagles swept Upland by scores of 12-0, 3-1 and 10-2 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

EHS enters the playoffs having won 10 consecutive games.

And most insane, the Eagles finished five games ahead of second-place Damien in the Baseline League standings.

They outscored their league competition, 142-47.

On Wednesday, Etiwanda out-hit Upland, 14-8, including a 6-0 advantage in extra-base hits.

Issac Carlos got roughed up for eight runs on 10 hits and a pair of hit batters over 4 2/3 innings.

Carlos didn’t issue a walk and registered three strikeouts.

Eight EHS batters had at least one hit and scored one run or more.

And six Eagles drove in at least one run.

Adam Ornelas singled, doubled and scored.

LJ Roellig went 2-for-4 with a run and one RBI.

Derick Kim singled twice, doubled, scored a pair of runs and drove in one.

Angel Mejia went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and totaled three RBIs.

Jaxson Milius was hit by pitch twice, singled, doubled, scored two runs and finished with two RBIs.

James Milam hit a two-run home run.

Nathan Snawder had an RBI double.

Nathan Perez singled and scored.

Peyton Ramos was hit by pitch and scored.

Landon Durmisevich, Dylan Villegas and Charles Stube provided two innings apiece on the mound.

Durmisevich and Villegas gave up one run apiece on seven combined hits.

Stube didn’t surrender a run and allowed just one hit.

Nathan Perez pitched a scoreless and hitless seventh inning.

Tommy Lopez went 2-for-3 with a run and he drew a bases loaded walk.

Darien Maung had a pair of singles.

Dylan Trejo singled and scored.

Ryan May went 2-for-3, including an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Carson Kinnick singled.

Up next: The Eagles and Highlanders will get their playoff opponent on Saturday afternoon at 1.
