Baseball:
Chino Hills finally snapped its seven-game Baseline League losing streak that ate up approximately three weeks.
The Huskies rode the arm of Brody Buoncristiani to a 5-0 victory at last-place Rancho Cucamonga.
Buoncristiani went 6 2/3 scoreless innings and allowed just a one-out seventh-inning single to Jared Mock.
He issued three walks and registered 11 strikeouts before reaching the 110-pitch count.
Sixty-nine of his 110 pitches were strikes.
Adrian Culpepper retired the final batter after allowing a base hit to Chad Tanner.
Joey Lopez went four scoreless innings and scattered four hits.
Lopez didn’t allow a walk and struck out four CHHS batters.
The Huskies got to Jax Nelson for five runs on two hits, four walks and a hit batter in 1/3 of an inning.
Brody and Brooks Buoncristiani walked, singled and scored one run apiece.
Hudson Hughes singled in a pair of runs and doubled.
Tony Arcadia walked and singled and Jacob Hernandez walked and scored.
Jacob Jimenez was hit by pitch with the bases loaded and scored.
Jayden Kim walked, singled, scored and drew a bases loaded walk.
