West Covina secured the two-game Valle Vista League sweep over Rowland by scores of 6-4 and 4-2 on Wednesday and Friday, respectively.
Rieleigh Rangel went five innings, and he was charged with two runs on three hits and one hit batter.
Rangel didn’t issue a walk and registered eight strikeouts.
Fifty-three of his 76 pitches were strikes.
Rob Melendez (1 2/3 IP) and Landon Hoffman (1/3) combined to provide two scoreless innings in relief and totaled three strikeouts.
David Garcia hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to tie the game at 2-2.
Nathaniel Li had three singles and scored.
CJ Carrillo walked and singled.
Logan Dwyer singled and doubled.
