Baseball:
After a disappointing home loss (8-5) to Bonita on Wednesday, the Tartans answered back with a 7-3 victory at BHS.
GHS scored two runs in the top of the first and they got one more in the second and never trailed in the Palomares League finale.
Glendora earned the number two seed out of the Palomares League.
Sebastian Lawrence went the distance, and he allowed one earned run on five hits.
Lawrence issued one walk and registered three strikeouts.
Fifty-one of his 79 pitches were strikes.
Brady Horn and Austin Banuelos singled and scored one run apiece.
Parker Alexander singled and drove in a run on a sac fly.
Joaquin Mendez had an RBI single in the sixth inning and scored.
Esteban Parra singled and Andrew Lomeli had an RBI ground out in the second inning to get the Bearcats on the board.

Ryder Gibson got the loss after surrendering five runs on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings.
Gibson issued three walks and registered four strikeouts.
Lawrence helped his own cause, going 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a two-run double.
Troy Norman singled twice, doubled and scored a pair of runs.
Tanner Grable went 3-for-3 with a walk, two runs and an RBI.
Aidan Yamazaki had an RBI double.
Riley Cooper went 2-for-4 with a walk, run and an RBI single.
John Seader singled in a run.
Santiago Garza walked, singled and scored.
Diego Flores had one hit in Friday’s win.
Up next: The Bearcats travel to Don Lugo on Monday, and the Tartans visit Crescenta Valley on Wednesday evening at 6.
