Quotable:
Covina coach, Tim O’Leary: “We’re playing good defense and getting timely hitting. We’re seeing good pitches. We’re in a good spot right now. We can pitch well and our defense picks us up. Donovan was lights out. He had a slider mixed in with his fastball and change-up. Our confidence is high because we’re playing good baseball and getting timely hits. They’re starting to believe in who we are and who we can be. I told our guys to stay humble and get after it.”
