Joe Bell Went Five Innings, Allowed One Run & Struck Out 11 in La Canada’s 2-1 Nonleague Victory Over Village Christian

Baseball:

La Canada secured victory No. 16 of the 2026 season on Tuesday.

The Spartans edged their visitors from Village Christian, 2-1, in a nonleague contest.

LCHS out-hit VCHS, 8-2.

Nate Chen provided one scoreless and hitless inning in spite of walking three batters.

Joe Bell went five innings, and he surrendered a single run on two hits.

Bell issued a pair of walks and registered 11 strikeouts.

Forty-seven of his 78 pitches were strikes.

Benji Geller retired the side in the seventh, including one strikeout.

Noah Porter had an RBI double in the top of the sixth inning.

Gabriel Bagasao singled and scored.

Noah Choe got the loss after allowing a pair of unearned runs on eight hits over six innings.

Choe walked two and fanned eight LCHS batters.

Bell went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Lucas Lee singled and scored.

Luke Talbert went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Geller walked and singled.

Finn Flowerhogan and Tyler Trimble had one single apiece and Will Park scored.

Up next: The Spartans travel to Simi Valley to take on Royal.
