Muir Secures Two-Game Pacific League Sweep of Glendale After its 15-0 Victory; MHS has Won Nine Consecutive Games

Baseball:

Muir just completed the two-game Pacific League sweep of Glendale.

And the Mustangs did so by a combined margin of 29-1.

MHS secured wins of 14-1 and 15-0 on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.

Zachery Avrach went all five innings and tossed a two-hit shutout.

Avrach issued two walks and registered five strikeouts.

Daksh Trambadia and Asher Knowles had one single apiece to account for the Glendale offense.

Antonio Larcena got the loss after getting roughed up for 11 runs (eight earned) on six hits, five walks and a hit batter in 2 1/3 innings.

Larcena registered one strikeout.

Kahlil Rishwain went 2-for-5 with a triple, run and two RBIs.

Eduardo Sosa walked, doubled twice, scored a pair of runs and drove in two.

Lawton Gray went 2-for-3 with a walk, double, run and one RBI.

Bryant Soriano walked, singled twice, scored and drove in one.

Sergio Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a walk, double, three runs and two RBIs.

Luca Cano drew a pair of walks and scored two runs.

Khairi Johnson had a two-run single and scored.

Brandon Figueroa drew a pair of walks, scored twice and had one RBI.

George Perez had an RBI ground out and scored a pair of runs.

Up next: The Mustangs host Pasadena on Tuesday at 3:30 in the final week of Pacific League play.
