Marshall continues to climb the Mission Valley League standings.
The Eagles dropped a 22-7 victory over their visitors from El Monte in four and one-half innings.
Marshall out-hit EMHS, 12-5, and they had a 5-1 advantage in extra-base hits.
With five MVL games to play, Marshall is within striking distance of first-place Arroyo and South El Monte.
Javier Rodriguez got the loss after allowing one run on a walk in just 2/3 of an inning.
Jose Hernandez was charged with 13 runs (12 earned) on nine hits and six walks.
Elijah Lain was hit by pitch, drew a pair of walks, scored twice, hit a two-run HR and finished with five RBIs.
Chris Romero walked, doubled, tripled, scored twice and drove in four.
Miles Pendleton drew a pair of walks, singled, scored three runs and drove in one.
Ian Macready went 1-for-4 with two walks, three runs and four RBIs.
