Baseball:
Pasadena is still fighting for a CIF-SS playoff berth.
The Bulldogs improved to 5-6 in Pacific League games after Tuesday’s 10-2 victory over Hoover.
Bruno Pierandozzi got the win after going five innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and a hit batter.
Pierandozzi issued three walks and registered 11 strikeouts.
Isaiah Magana walked, singled and scored.
Kieran Sinta singled and scored.
Alex Weimar walked and doubled.
Jesse Carbonneau doubled in a run in the first and walked.
Owen Marks was hit by pitch with the bases loaded.
Carbonneau got the loss after surrendering five runs (four earned) on four hits over two innings.
Carbonneau walked three and fanned a pair of Bulldogs.
Reese Kim went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs and two RBIs.
Dylan Derosier was hit by pitch, singled, scored and drove in one.
Maximus Reynolds drew a pair of walks, scored and had one RBI.
Harrison Gwaltney went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.
Jayden Mendoza walked and doubled.
Aaron Martinez walked, scored and had an RBI.
Ryan Chen singled and scored.
Pierandozzi helped his own cause by going 1-for-2 with a walk, two runs and one RBI.
Kai Cunningham had an RBI and Jackson Bradley scored.
