Muir Secured a 12-1 Pacific League Victory at Hoover & Extended its Current Win Streak to Five games

Baseball:

Muir won its fifth consecutive game on Tuesday.

The Mustangs dominated their hosts from Hoover, 12-1, in five innings.

MHS out-hit HHS 13-6, including a 3-0 advantage in extra-base hits.

Muir and their rival from Pasadena are both 3-6, and they’re just one-half a game behind Burbank for third place.

Jesse Carbonneau got the loss after surrendering three runs on three hits, two walks and a hit batter in two innings of work.

Brandon Figueroa walked, singled, doubled and scored three runs.

Bryant Soriano went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBIs and he was hit by pitch with the bases loaded.

Ezekiel Rodriguez drew a bases loaded walk and singled in a pair of runs.

Kahlil Rishwain drew a pair of walks, had an RBI single and scored.

Sergio Rodriguez singled, was hit by pitch, scored and drove in a run on a sax fly.

Lawton Gray drew a pair of walks, was hit by pitch and scored.

Kyrie Johnson and Jagger Martinez had one RBI single apiece.

Eduardo Sosa singled twice and scored a pair of runs.

Colin Franklin had an RBI bunt single and scored.

Roger Vasquez drove in a run on a sac fly.

Sergio Rodriguez earned the win after going three innings and allowing one run on four hits.

He walked two and fanned a pair of Hoover batters.

Jordan Mahler singled and he drew a bases loaded walk in the second.

Jacob Vangor singled and scored.

Isaiah Magana, Julian Guzman, Alex Weimar and Owen Marks had one hit apiece in the loss.
