Baseball:
La Canada improved to 5-1 in Rio Hondo League games after Friday’s 5-0 victory over South Pasadena.
Scott Burns went 6 1/3 scoreless innings and allowed just two hits.
Burns didn’t issue a walk and registered six strikeouts.
Fritz Phillips got the final two outs, including one via strikeout.
Cody Robinson and Julian Barnes had one hit apiece to account for the Tigers offense.
Hanson Chan was charged with four runs (two earned) on seven hits over five innings.
Chan walked two and struck out five LCHS batters.
Will Park singled twice and scored.
Ross Piken drew a pair of walks, doubled and scored.
Joe Bell singled, doubled and scored a pair of runs.
Ethan Wong had an RBI double in the third inning.
Austin Loughrin singled in a run in the fifth.
Finn Flowerhogan had an RBI ground out and scored.
Brandon Mohaghegh singled in the win.
