College Baseball:
Antelope Valley held a 7-2 lead in the top of the third inning in the first of a three-game Western State Conference South Division series with Citrus.
The Marauders entered their showdown just one-game back of the second-place Owls with three weeks remaining in the regular season.
To their dismay, two Citrus pitchers would hold AVC scoreless over the final six innings, and the Owls would rally for an 8-7 victory.
The Marauders got to Tim Hudson for five runs on four hits over two-plus innings.
Hudson walked four and struck out a pair of AVC batters.

Ryan Harrison earned the win after going five strong innings, and surrendering two runs on five hits.
Harrison issued three walks and registered nine strikeouts.
Gabe Buranasiri got the final six outs without any damage to earn the save.
Buranasiri scattered three hits and fanned one.
Brandon Hennessy went 2-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run.
Quentin Starbuck drew three walks and scored two runs.
Jayden Steinhurst singled, doubled in the first run of the game and scored.
Drew Watkins had an RBI double.
Elias Frainier walked, singled three times and scored.
Cody Rollins drew two walks, singled in a run and scored.
Connor Baughman singled, scored and drove in a run on a sac fly.
Jacob Baxter doubled and Armando Saucedo singled.
Aidan Morgan went 3 1/3 innings, and he was charged with six runs on seven hits.
Morgan didn’t issue a walk and registered three strikeouts.
Camden Clark was saddled with the loss after allowing two runs on five hits over 4 2/3 innings.
Clark walk one and fanned four Citrus baseball.
Cam Casado had a solo home run in the second inning and a two-run HR in the fifth.
Jackson Gray went 4-for-4 with two solo home runs and two runs scored.

Jordan Daniels doubled and scored.
Nick Velazquez doubled and scored.
Julian Hines went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Dominic Torrez singled and scored.
Derek Almeda had an RBI double and scored.
Up next: The Owls travel to AVC on Thursday at 2 for game two of their three-game series.
