Diamond Bar Scores Twice in Bottom of Seventh to Secure a 6-5 Palomares League Victory Over Claremont

It took Diamond Bar one game to surpass their Palomares League win total of a year ago.

In 2025, the Brahmas went 0-15, and they were outscored 167-89.

And DBHS was shut out six times in league games.

In Wednesday’s Palomares League opener, Diamond Bar trailed their visitors from Claremont 2-0 and 5-4 in the bottom of the fourth, and seventh innings, respectively.

The Brahmas answered with four runs in the fourth and two in the seventh to secure a 6-5 victory.

CHS had just scored three times in the top of the seventh to regain the lead.

Stetson Sherman went 6 1/3 innings, and he allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits.

Sherman issued a pair of walks and registered one strikeout.

The Wolfpack got two runs on one hit and one walk off Dominic Tortorelli.

Sebastian Roseli was credited with the win after getting the final two outs of the seventh inning without any damage.

Reed Miller’s two-run double in the seventh gave CHS a 5-4 lead.

Dominic Sink went 2-for-4 with an RBI ground out in the seventh.

Nico Vasquez walked, singled and scored a pir of runs.

Evan Blacksher singled twice and scored.

Kai Messner walked, scored and drove in a run on a sac fly.

Jacob Lucas, Dane Dorman and Brady Houlton had one single apiece for the Wolfpack.

Houlton went five innings, and he was charged with four runs on four hits.

Houlton walked three and struck out five DBHS batters.

Gil Perez allowed two runs on three hits over 1 1/3 innings.

He issued one walk and registered a pair of strikeouts.

Tortorelli went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI double in the seventh to tie the game at 5-5.

Cole Cerasuolo walked, scored, singled three times, including the walk-off game-winning single.

Elijah Kim’s three-run triple in the bottom of the fourth gave Diamond Bar a 4-2 lead.

Dominic Deguzman had an RBI single and scored.

Matt Villagracia singled and scored.

Jeremiah Jung drew a pair of walks and scored.

Matias Gallardo walked and scored.

DBHS has already won five more games in 2026 than in all of 2025.
