Baseball:

San Marino took the first of its two-game nonleague series with Montebello.

The Titans cruised to a 5-0 victory over the Oilers at SMHS.

Colin Wildeman tossed a four-hit shutout.

Wildeman issued one walk and registered four strikeouts.

Fifty-three of his 85 pitches were strikes.

Manny Arana went 2-for-3.

Michael Rios and Fernando Cruz had the other MHS hits.

Fernando Cruz was stuck with the loss after allowing two runs on six hits over four innings.

Cruz didn’t give a free pass and struck out three.

Jacob Parra was charged with three runs on three hits over two innings of work.

Parra walked two and fanned a trio of Titans.

Chase Mena doubled and scored.

Parker Wilson had two hits and scored.

Charlie Danenhauer went 2-for-3 with a run and one RBI.

Aldo Cali walked, singled twice and scored.

Cooper Wilson had a two-run single in the sixth.

Miles Morning walked, had an RBI ground out and scored.

Alex Lumino singled in the win.

Up next: San Marino travels to Montebello on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30.
