College Baseball:
After dropping game one of their three-game South Coast Conference series with Long Beach (10-6), the Pasadena City College baseball program secured the series with 8-5 and 7-5 victories on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
Jonathan Bracamonte went 5 1/3 innings and allowed four runs on seven hits to earn the win.
Bracamonte walked three and fanned one Long Beach batter.
Matt Garcia provided two hitless and scoreless innings in relief, including a pair of strikeouts.
Sergio Robles got the save after getting the final five outs and surrendering one run on three hits.
Eshua Desai went 3-for-3, including a two-run single and a two-run homer.
Myles Fredrick walked, singled and scored.
Cross Stephens and Enrique Lopez singled and scored one run apiece.
Carson Slager walked and scored.
Erick Espinoza went 2-for-4.
Garret Rodriguez walked and singled.
Aaron Mingo had an RBI single in the top of the ninth.
PCC got to Anthony Buenaseda for three runs on one hit and five walks in one-plus inning.
After a pair of scoreless innings in relief from Josh Yogi, Alex Yin was charged with two runs (one earned) on three walks.
Six LBCC pitchers combined to walk nine batters and struck out two.
Chris Torres went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks, one run and an RBI.
Omar Cisneros walked, singled and scored.
Xiovany Ochoa drew a pair of walks, drove in a run on a sac fly to give PCC a 3-2 lead (bottom of second) and scored two runs.
Luke Bauer singled twice and scored a pair of runs.
Joaquin Salcedo’s RBI single in the first tied the game at 1-1.
Diego Gurfein singled and scored.
Joey Ramos had an RBI single in the eighth to extend the Lancers advantage to 7-4.
Isaac Ton drew a pair of walks, including a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the first.
Jacob Escamilla singled in the win.
Up next: The Lancers travel to Mt. SAC on Tuesday in the first of a three-game series with the Mounties.
