Twenty-four hours after a disappointing one-run loss at home to Heritage Christian in an Olympic League contest, Maranatha dropped a 12-0 beatdown on the Warriors in five innings.
The Minutemen out-hit HCHS, 16-4, including a 5-1 advantage in extra-base hits.
Bradley Loiacono went four scoreless innings and scattered four hits.
Loiacono didn’t issue a walk and registered five strikeouts.
Of his 52 pitches, 40 were strikes.
Jaden Lai got the final three outs, including a strikeout.
Christian Boldt singled and doubled.
Isaac Patterson and Noah Arreola had one hit apiece for the Warriors.
Crosby Hirtensteinergot rough up for nine runs (eight earned) on nine hits and a walk over one-plus inning.
Christian Ahuja was charged with three runs (two earned) on seven hits.
Ahuja walked one and fanned one Maranatha batter.
Trevor Rivas had a pair of RBI singles in the first inning, hit a solo home run and drove in a fourth run on a sac fly.
Rivas scored two runs.
Yahir Treto singled and hit a three-run HR.
Lukus Perez singled twice and scored a pair of runs.
Michael Herman had a pair of doubles, one run and an RBI.
Gabe Barragan singled and scored.
Kaleb Derosier went 2-for-4 in his Maranatha debut with two runs and three RBIs.
Jayden Morales singled, doubled and scored two runs.
Moses Alvarez went 2-for-3 with one run and an RBI.
