And the Wolfpack made it look easy.
CHS secured a 12-0 victory at Rowland in five innings.
Sophomore Brady Houlton improved to 5-0 after going five scoreless innings and scattering five hits.
Houlton didn’t issue a walk and registered nine strikeouts.
Fifty-eight of his 88 pitches were strikes.
Houlton has an 0.43 ERA at the midway point.
CJ Carrillo went 3-for-3 in the loss.
Davis Garcia and James Martinez had one hit apiece for the Raiders.
Logan Dwyer got the loss after surrendering nine runs on nine hits over 2 2/3 innings.
Dwyer walked two and fanned a pair of Wolfpack batters.
Eight CHS batters had at least one hit, and four had two or more.
Evan Blacksher went 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.
Reed Miller drew a walk, singled and scored two runs.
Dean Holtan singled and scored.
Kai Messner singled twice, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Houlton drove in a run on a sac fly.
Dane Dorman walked and scored.
Nico Vasquez had one single, a run and one RBI from the leadoff spot.
Dominic Sink went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.
Jacob Lucas had two singles, runs and RBIs.
Patrick Delgado singled once in the win.
