College Baseball:

Since the launch of this site nearly eight years ago, it seems that no one responds better to disappointing setbacks than the PCC baseball program.

Whenever the Lancers get knocked down, they dust themselves off and respond with character and grit.

On Wednesday, they took a 16-3 beatdown at the hands of their visitors from Golden West College.

Fast forward one day, and PCC left Huntington Beach with a 15-8 victory over the Rustlers in 10 innings.

It seemed like each time Pasadena City College scored, Golden West would answer back with something.

The Rustlers got two runs in the seventh inning and one each in the eighth and ninth to force extra innings.

PCC, however, scored seven times in the 10th to pull away.

The Lancers were able to withstand Golden West’s 8-3 advantage in extra-base hits.
