Sara Yeats got Bonita off to a great start in Palomares League play.
Yeats tossed a three-hit shutout in the Bearcats 2-0 victory over Diamond Bar.
She issued one walk and registered four strikeouts.
Aniya Law, Gabriella Tejeda and Bella Correa singled for the Brahmas.
Kaitlyn Grotenhuis got the loss after surrendering a pair of unearned runs on three hits over her six-inning outing.
Grotenhuis walked two and fanned six BHS batters.
Leah Reynolds walked, doubled and scored.
Adrianna Mangini went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Yeats singled, and Madi Arzate had an RBI ground out.
Kiana Crawford walked and scored.
