And they trailed 4-0 at Charter Oak as they picked up their bats in the top of the seventh inning.
The Tartans, however, scored six runs only to see the Chargers answer with two in the bottom half of the seventh to tie the game at 6-6.
After a pair of scoreless innings, Johnny Jabbour scored on a wild pitch with the bases loaded, and GHS secured a 7-6 victory in 10 innings.
Christian Lopez went the first 6 1/3 innings, and he was charged with three runs on seven hits.
Lopez issued one walk and fanned three.
Jefte Cruz was charged with three runs (two earned) on one hit and a walk over 1/3 of an inning.
Joseph Avitia provided 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief on two hits.
Avitia didn’t give a free pass and struck out one Tartan.
Jose Chapparro got the loss after surrendering one run on two hits and four walks over the ninth and 10th innings.
Chapparro registered four strikeouts.
In the four-run seventh inning, Sebastian Lawrence doubled and Cody Baeza came on to pinch run.
Diego Garza singled to give the Tartans first-and-third with no outs.
Jude Garcia had an RBI ground out to score Baeza.
Aidan Yamazaki doubled and after a COHS pitching change, Garcia scored on a wild pitch.
Troy Norman was hit by pitch, and Riley Cooper ground out to score Yamazaki.
Trailing 4-3 and with two outs, John Seader had a clutch RBI double that plated Norman.
After Tanner Grable was intentionally walked, Santiago Garza singled in Seader.
The Tartans scored their sixth run on a ground ball off the bat of Lawrence that was misplayed and it allowed Grable to score.
After a pair of seventh-inning walks, Mario Ortiz doubled in a pair of runs and the Chargers caught Glendora at 6-6.
As mentioned above, Glendora scored once in the 10th to claim a 7-6 victory.
Seader finished 2-for-4 with two walks, one run and an RBI.
Grable walked, singled and scored.
Santiago Garza drew a pair of walks and had the RBI single.
Diego Garza singled three times in the win.
Yamazaki walked, singled, doubled twice and scored.
Troy Norman singled and scored.

Preston Tymchak allowed one unearned run on one hit and a pair of walks.

The Chargers got a one-out single to left in the bottom of the 10th, but Tanner Grable tossed him out when he tried to stretch the base hit into a double.
Jorge Aceves walked, was hit by pitch, singled, doubled and scored a pair of runs.
Martin Luna III drew three walks, doubled, scored a pair of runs and drove in one.
Mario Ortiz had the two-run double.
Jonathan Limon singled and scored.
AJ Guzman walked and singled.
CJ Alarcon, Ryan Blehm and Jayden Rodriguez had one single apiece.
Alexander Sanchez was hit by pitch and scored.
