Baseball:
Two days ago, the undefeated South Hills baseball team took a 15-4 beating at Ayala.
The Bulldogs pounded out 17 hits and four AHS pitchers struck out 11 Huskies.
However, great programs dust themselves off, and they’re ready for the next battle.
And South Hills was ready on Thursday night.
The Huskies secured a 3-2 victory over their visitors from Walnut on a wild pitch that plated Aiden Gomez.

One inning earlier, Walnut had the potential go-ahead run pegged at the plate by center fielder Gabe Guerrero.
Nicolas Munoz went the first inning, and he was charged with one run one three hits.
Aiden Mirabal provided three scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out a pair of Mustangs.
Nicholas Carrillo allowed two hits and struck out one in an inning of scoreless relief.
Paxton Czubek was charged with one run on two hits over 2/3 of an inning.
Guerrero got the win after getting the final four outs, including one via strikeout.
Dillinger Sanchez and JJ Rodriguez singled and scored one run apiece.
Adam Lenero went 2-for-4.
Dillan Lobo and Jacob Zepeda had one hit and one RBI apiece.
Manny Aguilar singled twice, and Aidan Olguin went 1-for-3.
Dylan Nunez went 6 1/3 innings, and he was charged with three runs on five hits.
Nunez issued just one walk and registered nine strikeouts.
Gabe Guerrero doubled and scored.
Diego Villarreal and Aiden Gomez singled and scored one run apiece.
Carson Baker had an RBI single to tie the game at 2-2.
Richie Soto doubled.
