You don’t see that very often.

La Salle made quite the statement on Tuesday.

They dropped an 11-1 five-inning beatdown on their hosts and the three-time reigning Del Rey League champions from Bishop Amat.

Nico Armendariz went all five, allowing an unearned run on four hits.

Armendariz issued two walks and registered four strikeouts.

Omar Arretche singled, doubled and scored.

Roman Spencer and Joaquin Ortiz had one single apiece to account for the rest of the BAHS offense.

Raymond Castro was roughed up for six runs (five earned) on six hits over 3 1/3 innings.

Castro walked two and struck out three La Salle batters.

Chris Cardenas had a monster game, going 4-for-4 with a triple, two runs and three RBIs.

Andrew Klein walked, doubled, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Travis Ochoa drew a pair of walks and scored twice.

Drew Ward went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks, one run and two RBIs.

Frane Flores walked twice and doubled in a run.

Daniel Ruiz drew a pair of walks, including once with the bases loaded.

Up next: La Salle will host St. Paul on Friday at 3:15 in another Del Rey League contest.
