Rancho Cucamonga headed to Northview on a three-game winning streak.
And they headed home from Covina on Friday on the wrong side of a 12-0 decision.
Three Northview pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout.
Fernie Casas did the heavy lifting.
Casas went five scoreless innings and surrendered four hits to earn the win.
He walked one and fanned one Cougar batter.
Marcos Luna and Michael Mendoza provided one scoreless and hitless inning in relief.
Neither Luna nor Mendoza walked a batter, and they combined to strike out three.
Trevor Newman and Ethan Diaz had two hits apiece to account for the RCHS offense.
Joey Lopez got the loss after surrendering seven runs (six earned) on five hits over 3 1/3 innings.
Lopez issued a pair of walks and registered five strikeouts.
Ezekiel Martinez had a three-run triple and scored.
Bobby Granados hit a solo home run.
Jaime Gallardo walked, doubled and scored a pair of runs.
Michael Mendoza walked, scored, doubled and drove in two runs.
Noah Martinez went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI.
Jake Aguilar singled and scored.
Chris Elizalde went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Joseph Sanchez doubled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Alex Maduray singled and scored.
Jayden Chagollan drove in a run on a sac fly.
Up next: RCHS welcomes Citrus Valley to their field on Monday, and NHS hosts La Quinta on Tuesday.
