Freshman Emma Garcia Goes Distance, Allowing an Unearned Run, Striking Out 8 & Hit a 2-Run HR in GHS’ 6-1 Victory Over SDHS

Softball:

San Dimas scored 54 runs in their first four games to start the 2026 season at 4-0.

On Wednesday, freshman Emma Garcia went the distance in Glendora’s 6-1 victory over the visiting Saints.

Garcia was charged with an unearned run on five hits.

She issued a pair of walks and registered eight strikeouts.

Seventy-five of Garcia’s 100 pitches were strikes.

Audrey Schlim had two of San Dimas’ five hits.

Savannah Clelland’s RBI single in the top of the fifth drove in the lone Saints run.

Mikaela Ketterling and Malia Arochi had one single apiece.

Brooke D’Amato was charged with the loss after surrendering six runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks over six innings of work.

Garcia helped her own cause with a walk and a two-run HR.

Morgan Gonzalez singled twice and score.

Siena Bobadilla singled and scored a pair of runs.

Ryan Torres singled in the first run of the game.

Lauren Curiel singled and drove in a run on a sac fly.
