Glendora Erases 5-0 Deficit & Scores 12 Unanswered Runs to Secure a 12-5 Victory Over Their Visitors From Hesperia

Baseball:

Hesperia scored the game’s first five runs in Tuesday’s showdown at Glendora.

Unfortunately for the Scorpions, the Tartans would score the next 12 runs to claim a 12-5 victory.

GHS got four runs in the bottom of the fourth and seven more in the sixth.

It’s their first 3-0 start since 2020.

Hesperia got to Santiago Garza for five runs on seven hits over two-plus innings.

Garza didn’t issue a walk, and he struck out a pair of HHS batters.

Chase Medina went two scoreless and hitless innings.

And Jude Garcia was credited with the win after going three scoreless innings, allowing three hits, no walks and a pair of strikeouts.

Joshua Flores singled, doubled, scored twice and homered for the Scorpions.

He hit a solo shot in the top of the first inning, and an RBI double in the third.

Brandon Aguilar doubled and scored.

Nathan Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Tyler Oerman singled twice and scored.

Carlos Ramirez singled, scored and drove in one run in the loss.

Cameron Cole drove in a run on a sac fly, and Talon Ware walked and singled.

Oerman went the first four innings, and he was charged with five runs on six hits over four innings.

He issued a pair of walks and registered two strikeouts.

The Tartans got to Carlos Ramirez for seven runs on six hits over two innings to saddle Ramirez with the loss.

Santiago Garza might not have had his best stuff on the hill, but he sure made a difference at the plate.

He went 3-for-4 with three runs.

And Garza’s three-run HR in the fourth pulled GHS to within 5-4 of Hesperia.

Troy Norman walked, singled, had an RBI triple in the seven-run sixth inning, and he scored twice.

Riley Cooper went 2-for-3 with a pair of triples from the leadoff spot, he drew a walk, scored one run and finished with two RBIs.

John Seader scored, had an RBI ground out and an RBI single.

Tanner Grable singled twice and scored a pair of runs.

Diego Garza singled and drove in two runs.

Sebastian Lawrence singled and scored.

GHS football players Aidan Yamazaki and Johnny Jabbour scored one run apiece in the win.
