Baseball:
Pasadena scored twice in the bottom of the first inning, and they never trailed in Saturday’s 5-1 season opening victory over Temple City.
Dylan Derosier got the win after going 5 1/3 innings and allowing one run on four hits.
Derosier issued a pair of walks and registered nine strikeouts.
Bruno Pierandozzi got the final five outs without allowing a hit or a run.
Peyton Navarat singled and scored the Rams lone run.
Josh Jones had an RBI single in the top of the third inning.
Nicholas Palomo walked and singled, and Bodie Kelley had the other TCHS base hit.
Nate Platon got the loss after surrendering five runs (four earned) on two hits over three innings.
Platon walked five and fanned one PHS batter.

Maximus Reynolds went 2-for-3 with a walk and three RBIs.
Reece Kim walked and scored a pair of runs from the leadoff spot.
Harrison Gwaltney was hit by pitch, scored and had one RBI.
Ryan Chen walked twice and scored once.
