Dean Brosterhous opened his sophomore campaign in pretty impressive form.

Brosterhous went 5 1/3 innings to earn the win in San Dimas’ 4-2 victory over La Serna.

He was charged with two runs on seven hits.

Brosterhous issued three walks and fanned four Lancers’ batters.

He also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a solo home run.

Adam Rosales got the final five outs to earn the save.

Rosales surrendered one hit and struck out one.

Adrian Dominguez went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and one run.

Isaac Lopez Del Haro doubled and scored.

Chris Soto had an RBI single in the two-run third inning.

Phillip Villa was saddled with the loss after going four innings and allowing four runs on six hits.

Villa walked two and registered four strikeouts.

Louis Farias and James Rocha singled and scored one run apiece for the Saints.

Isaiah Parra and Josh Calcanas had consecutive RBI singles in the bottom of the second inning.

Micah Cooper walked and scored.
