Girls Hoops:
Flintridge Prep opened the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs in impressive form.
The Wolves secured a 59-44 victory over a Rialto program that entered the game with a record of 23-3.
Prep led by 10 points at the break.
Maddie Smith led the way with 25 points, three rebounds, four steals and five assists.
Akemi Fu chipped in with nine points, five rebounds, two steals and three assists.
Megan Quoch provided six points, 11 rebounds, three blocks and a pair of assists.
Jackie Polk led Rialto with 16 points.
Destiny Robino finished with 14 points in the loss.
Up next: The Lady Wolves travel to Windward on Saturday evening at 7.
The Wildcats (16-12) secured a 56-50 victory at North Torrance in their first-round contest.
