Boys Hoops:
Malibu made the 58-mile drive to La Verne on Wednesday evening.
And after eight minutes of play, the Sharks and the No. 1 seed from Bonita were locked in a 14-14 tie.
Unfortunately for the visitors, BHS would secure a 71-34 victory in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 4 playoffs.
The Bearcats had a 57-19 advantage over the final three quarters.
BHS also scored 30 points from beyond the 3-point line as compared to just three for MHS.
Beau Rudometkin scored a game-high 26 points, including three 3-pointers.
Brayden Henderson chipped in with 11 points.

Carson Zylstra and Josef Al-Shatti provided eight points apiece for the Bearcats.
Max Hackney led Malibu with 12 points.
Bryce Shamburger contributed seven points, and Jordan Collins had six in the loss.
Up next: BHS will travel to Pasadena to battle Blair on Friday at 7.
The Vikings (20-9) secured a 74-66 victory over their visitors from Palm Desert.
