Water Polo:
Bonita took most of the drama out of Tuesday’s CIF-SS Division 2 second-round showdown with Westridge pretty early.
The Lady Bearcats led 10-5 at the half, and they took a 14-6 lead into the final period.
The visiting Tigers from Pasadena went on a 7-4 run in the fourth quarter.
Peyton Ashby led all scorers with six goals in the win.
Isla Romero chipped in with five goals.
Roxanne Jimenez and Kennedy O’Connell contributed three goals apiece, while Charlotte Cruz scored once at Las Flores Park.

Natalie Rosen’s 16 saves in goals was twice as much as her Westridge counterpart.
Skye Inal and Alana Soto led the Tigers with five goals apiece.
Mira Childs, Ella Katzenstan and Molly Greenberg scored one goal apiece in the loss.
Sloan Criddle tallied eight saves in goal for Westridge.
Up next: The Bearcats travel to Redondo Union on Saturday evening at 5.
The Sea Hawks (14-11) defeated their visitors from Camarillo, 13-9, in their second-round contest.
