Girls Soccer:

Glendora just finished its best regular season in program history on Friday evening.

The Tartans got a pair of late goals, and they held on for a 2-1 victory over their visitors from Bonita at Louie Pompei Memorial Sports Park.

With the win, the GHS soccer program secured what is believed to be its first unbeaten regular season in school history.

Koko Pantayatiwong, who got called up from JV got the Tartans on the board with a goal in the 70th minute.

Three minutes later, Tina Zurla scored to double Glendora’s advantage.

That was one more than Claire Castro needed in goal.

Castro had 10 saves and pitched a shutout for the 76 minutes she was in goal.

Bonita’s Malia Misawa scored from approximately 30 yards out with less than a minute to play to get the Bearcats on the scoreboard.

Up next: GHS and BHS get their playoff opponent next Saturday (Feb. 7) morning at 10.
