Ayala is now one win from an outright Palomares League championship.
The Bulldogs avenged their only league loss with a 76-64 victory over visiting Claremont.
With one game to play, AHS has a one-game lead over Bonita.
Ayala led 32-20 at the break, and they took a 57-39 advantage as the game headed into the fourth period.
The Bulldogs had an 11-3 advantage from beyond the 3-point arc.
Brenden White scored a game-high 16 points
Zach Canellopoulos hit three 3-pointers, and he finished with 13 points.
All 12 of Milo Tun’s points came from behind the 3-point line.
Jacky Zhao contributed 10 points in the win, while Braylen Pangan and Paul Christian produced six points apiece.
Nolan Zitar led Claremont with 15 points.
Elijah Jenkins provided 14 points.
And Jordan Trice added 11 points in the loss.
Up next: The Bulldogs can secure an outright Palomares League championship on Monday evening with a victory over visiting and second-place Bonita.
The Bearcats are coming off an 80-72 victory over Glendora.
BHS and AHS met two weeks ago, and the Bulldogs left La Verne with a 75-67 victory over Bonita.
