Etiwanda opened and finished strong in Thursday’s Baseline League Tournament showdown with Rancho Cucamonga.
The Eagles secured a 47-31 victory.
And EHS outscored RCHS, 33-15, in the first and fourth periods combined.
Both programs hit three 3-pointers.
Devin Mitchell led Etiwanda with 11 points.
Sam Funn had 10 points, while Armaun Pollock contributed nine points in the win.
Rancho Cucamonga got offensive production from just three of its athletes.
Izaiah Fiallos and Kavan Bowden scored 14 points apiece.
And Andre Ray had three points on a fourth-quarter 3-pointer.
Up next: The Eagles travel to Damien on Tuesday at 6:30 to decide the Baseline League Tournament title.
DHS is 26-4 and ranked 14th in the latest MaxPreps state poll, and EHS is 25-2 and 16th.
The Spartans defeated the Eagles, 56-43, back on January the 8th.
