Boys Hoops:
Ayala seized its share of the Palomares League penthouse on Friday evening.
The Bulldogs cruised to a 67-48 victory over first-place Walnut.
AHS led 38-18 at the half, and they entered the fourth quarter with a 58-33 advantage.
Brenden White dominated with 31 points.
White had 19 more points than the offensive leader of the Mustangs.
Joshua Townsell chipped in with 10 points.
Milo Tun scored nine points and Zach Canellopoulos finished with eight in the win.
Zayn Karim paced the Walnut offense with 12 points.
Chris Hernandez chipped in with 10 points.
Kiko Guevara provided nine points in the loss.
Up next: AHS will travel to Diamond Bar on Wednesday evening at 6:30.
