Boys Hoops:
San Dimas secured its first Hacienda League victory of the 2025-26 season.
And it took the Saints overtime to defeat their visitors from South Hills.
SDHS’ 62-58 victory over the Huskies was also their first win in 2026.
Daniel Barrales scored a game-high 27 points.
Barrales hit three 3-pointers, and he went 12-of-18 from the free-throw line.
Andrew Diep chipped in with 22 points.
Diep scored 13 of the 22 in the fourth quarter and overtime.
Diep hit three 3-pointers, and he went 3-for-4 from the free-throw line.
Cruz Valdez led South Hills with 19 points.
Valdez made a pair of 3-pointers, and the Saints held him to just two points in the second half and OT.
Nine of Justin Witcher’s 11 points came from beyond the 3-point arc.
Diego Rivera scored 10 points in the loss.
Up next: SDHS travels to Alta Loma next Thursday at 6:30.
