Girls Hoops:
Glendora finished off the first round of Palomares League play with a perfect 5-0 record.
Two days after having to rally late against visiting Bonita, the Tartans controlled throughout Friday’s 56-32 victory at Walnut.
GHS led 35-15 at the half, and they opened the second half on a 13-6 run.
Reagan Herrmann led the way, per usual.
Herrmann finished with a game-high 21 points.
Herrmann went 3-of-4 from 3-point land, and she tallied nine rebounds and three steals.
Remy Caine had 15 points in the win.
Caine also had five rebounds, two assists and three steals.
Kamryn Kuo and Mia Reyes provided six points apiece for the Tartans.
Jada Jao led Walnut with 12 points.
Elise Lopez chipped in with seven points.
Madison Shin provided five points in the loss.
Up next: The Tartans will begin the second round of league play on Wednesday evening at Ayala.
