Boys Hoops:
Rancho Cucamonga had a 14-point lead at the half over their visitors from Etiwanda.
The Eagles, though, rallied, and they went on to claim a 61-56 victory in a Baseline League showdown.
EHS went on a 40-21 run in the second half.
Achilles Orji scored 16 of his team-high 20 points in the second half, including 12 in the fourth period.
Devin Mitchell contributed 16 points, and San Funn chipped in with 10 points.
Kavan Bowden scored a game-high 23 points for Rancho Cucamonga.
Bowden hit three 3-pointers, which matched the three from Etiwanda.
Izaiah Fiallos finished with 22 points, including a pair of 3’s.
Up next: The Eagles faces Torrey Pines on Saturday night at 8:30 at Rancho Christian HS.
The Cougars battle Canyon at North Torrance at 3 at the State Preview Classic.
