GHS Drops a 61-32 Beatdown on Claremont in Palomares Showdown; Reagan Herrmann Outscored Wolfpack, 33-32, on Friday

Girls Hoops:

Glendora took a big step forward in what they hope ends with a Palomares League title.

The Tartans crushed their hosts from Claremont, 61-32, on Friday night.

GHS outscored CHS 40-18 in the second and third quarters combined.

Reagan Herrmann actually outscored the Wolfpack, 33-32.

Herrmann was 11-of-21 from the field, including 3-of-5 from the 3-point line, and 8-of-11 from the charity stripe.

Herrmann also tallied seven rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals.

Mia Reyes finished with 14 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Remy Caine chipped in with seven points and eight boards.

Kamryn Kuo added six points in the win.

Khrysma Johnson led Claremont with 14 points.

Johnson hit a pair of 3-pointers, and she went 4-of-4 from the free-throw line.

Iyla Raguette (6) and Dillynn Hardison (5) combined to score 11 points in the loss.

GHS is now 3-0 and alone atop the Palomares League standings.

Up next: The Tartans host Bonita on Wednesday evening at 5.
