For all intents and purposes, Pasadena put Friday’s Pacific League contest against Hoover away after the first eight minutes.
The Bulldogs took a 17-point lead after the first quarter, and they cruised to an 86-20 victory over HHS.
PHS led 54-14 at the break, and the real kick in the stones was a 24-0 run during the third period.
Pasadena is now 4-1 in league play.
Tim Anderson outscored Hoover 25-20, and he tallied five rebounds, six assists and four steals.
David Matossian had a career-high 17 points, including a 5-of-7 effort from beyond the 3-point line.
Evan Washington chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals.
Kayleb Corner added nine points, seven boards, two assists and a pair of steals.
Yahya Ayoob and Troy Wilson finished with eight points apiece for PHS.
Mark Khatchoyan and Ilan Genachte scored nine points apiece in the loss.
