If Tuesday’s result is any indication, the Hacienda League is going to be fun to follow.
South Hills escaped with a 61-56 victory over their visitors from San Dimas in overtime.
The Saints had an 11-7 advantage in 3-pointers made.
Cruz Valdez led SHHS with 20 points, including a 5-for-5 effort from the free-throw line.
Diego Rivera scored four of his 17 points in overtime.
Andrew Diep hit four 3-pointers, made 5-of-6 from the charity stripe, and he finished with a game-high 22 points.
Daniel Barrales contributed 17 points, with 12 coming from beyond the 3-point arc.
Angelo Fares scored 10 points, including a pair of 3’s.
Up next: The Saints host Alta Loma next Tuesday at 6:30.
The Huskies travel to Alta Loma this Thursday at 6:30.
